What happened: Legacy dropped a tight 51–48 district road game to Odessa Permian on Thursday, Jan. 22. The loss moves the Rebels to 8–15 overall and 2–1 in district play, while Permian improves to 16–10 overall and remains unbeaten in district at 3–0.

The big picture: The game stayed close from the opening tip. Permian held a slim 17–16 edge after the first quarter, but Legacy answered in the second, taking a 29–27 lead into halftime. Permian regained momentum in the third quarter, outscoring the Rebels 19–13 to move in front 46–42. Legacy continued to battle in the fourth, but Permian did just enough down the stretch to secure the three-point win.

What’s next: The Rebels return home to host Odessa in district action on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Odessa enters the matchup at 17–11 overall and 1–2 in district. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
