What to watch: Midland residents have two opportunities to support the Lee High School Dolls through a Jason’s Deli fundraiser and the annual Dolls on the Run 5K. The LHS Dolls Booster Club organizes both events to help fund the dance team’s upcoming season.

The big picture: The first opportunity to support the Dolls takes place this Thursday, July 9, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Jason’s Deli, 4610 N. Garfield St. Customers who mention “LHS Dolls” or present the fundraiser flyer when ordering will have 25% of their purchase donated to the booster club. The fundraiser applies to dine-in, carryout, and curbside pickup orders but excludes delivery.

This Saturday, July 11, the community can participate in the annual Dolls on the Run 5K at the Midland College Allison Fine Arts parking lot. Race-day check-in begins at 6 a.m., followed by the 7 a.m. start. Registration is $40 per runner until Friday, July 10, and $45 on race day. The first 100 finishers will receive a commemorative medal. The Dolls are partnering with Desert Run Collective and The Women’s Run Lab to host the race.
