What happened: Young dancers in Midland will have multiple opportunities to stay active this summer through a variety of dance classes and themed camps offered by Absolute Dance,  5109 Sunmore Cir.

The studio’s 2026 summer lineup includes weekly instruction in ballet, hip hop, jazz, tap, pom, acro, lyrical/contemporary, and musical theater for dancers ranging from toddlers to advanced teens. Classes are available for ages 2 and older, with options for both beginner and advanced dancers.

The big picture: Class options include Princess Ballet for ages 2-3, ballet and tumble classes for younger dancers, and Level 1-5 training for dancers ages 7-18. Older and more advanced dancers will also have opportunities to participate in higher-level ballet, jazz technique, hip-hop, pom, lyrical/contemporary, acro, and musical theater classes.

Families can choose between unlimited summer classes for dancers in Levels 1-5 and individual class enrollment. Pricing includes a $45 registration fee with $289 tuition for the unlimited Levels 1-5 program, while individual classes cost $49 per class plus the registration fee.

Go deeper: Camp options include the Royal Princess Camp, which will take place June 9-11 from 9-11:30 a.m. for ages 3-7 and will feature princess-themed dance lessons, crafts, games, acro activities, and snacks. Organizers encourage dancers to wear their favorite princess outfits during camp activities.

K-POP Camp is scheduled for July 14-16 from 9-11:30 a.m. for ages 4-9. Campers will learn upbeat choreography, participate in movement and acro activities, and work on performance skills in a high-energy environment. Magical Unicorn Camp will run July 20-22 from 9-11:30 a.m. for ages 3-7 and will include themed dance activities, crafts, games, acro, and unicorn-inspired activities throughout the camp.
