What to watch: Looking for a place to play tennis or pickleball this summer, or need help to take your game to the next level? The Bush Tennis Center is a nonprofit, community-focused facility in Midland offering the public access to courts, clinics, and training for all ages and skill levels. The center will reopen scholarship opportunities in June to help expand access across the community.

The big picture: The facility features 19 lighted tennis courts, eight pickleball courts, and three padel courts, making it one of the most versatile racquet sports venues in the area. Players can access courts for a daily fee or join as members. Memberships include added benefits such as reserving courts up to seven days in advance, discounted programming, and access to future amenities, including locker rooms and a lounge.

What’s next: Bush Tennis Center offers youth clinics starting at age five, junior development programs, and adult clinics for all skill levels. Private lessons, leagues, summer camps, and competitive events are open for registration through their website. Spots tend to fill quickly, so early sign-up is encouraged. Members and players can also use the BTC app to reserve courts, sign up for programs, and manage their accounts in one place.
