What to watch: The Midland County Public Libraries are transitioning from one family favorite to another. The popular SCOOBY-DOO! Mansion Mayhem interactive exhibit ended its run on Saturday, May 9, making way for the exciting new Dinosaurs: Land of Fire and Ice exhibit opening on Tuesday, May 26.

Why it matters: These exhibits are free, no library card required, and hands-on, giving Midland families fun, educational activities that spark imagination and learning, perfect for kids of all ages during the spring and summer months.

The Centennial Library is a top spot for voting, and the upcoming Primary Runoff Election on May 26 falls on the exhibit’s opening day, allowing children to run around and explore while parents do their civic duty.

The big picture: The exhibit is recommended for ages 3–10 and takes young explorers back to the Cretaceous Period, with interactive displays featuring dinosaurs in two prehistoric environments. Families can get up close with these fascinating creatures and learn about their habitats. This exhibit comes to Midland after traveling from the Minnesota Children’s Museum.
