The big picture: Greenwood set the tone early, building a 14–5 lead by the end of the first quarter. The Rangerettes continued to control the game in the second, extending the margin to 21–13 at halftime. Coming out of the break, Greenwood widened the gap behind steady scoring, pushing the lead to 34–18 after three quarters. The Rangerettes closed the game with a strong defensive fourth quarter, holding Pecos scoreless to secure the 44–18 district victory.
