What happened: Families looking for a summer sports option for younger athletes will have another opportunity this July as i9 Sports hosts a co-ed multi-sport youth camp at Bunche Elementary School, 700 S. Jackson. The camp is scheduled for July 21-24 and is open to children ages 5-12. Daily sessions will run from 9 a.m. to noon.

The big picture: Campers will rotate through flag football, soccer, basketball, baseball, and softball throughout the week while focusing on skill development, participation, and sportsmanship.

Instruction will include former Dallas Cowboys coach Evan Harrington for football, FC West Texas player Diego Ruiz for soccer, and Midland High baseball player Aiden Vega for baseball activities. The camp maintains a 10-to-1 child-to-counselor ratio, and participants will receive an i9 Sports camp shirt. All sports equipment will be provided.
