What happened: Legacy earned a 62–42 victory over El Paso Franklin on Friday, Nov. 14, to secure the bi-district championship in the 6A Division I playoffs. The Rebels opened with a 14–7 first-quarter lead and added 21 points in the second to reach halftime tied 35–35 after Franklin matched their scoring surge. Legacy then pulled away with a steady 7-point third quarter and a strong 20-point finish in the fourth.

Go deeper: Legacy’s offense attacked with pace and balance all night. The Rebels stacked explosive plays, controlled key downs, and responded each time Franklin threatened to shift momentum. Defensively, Legacy created timely stops in the second half that helped separate the game. Their late push sealed the win and kept confidence high heading into the next round.

The big picture: The Rebels’ victory advances them in the playoff bracket and highlights their resilience in a high-scoring matchup. Their ability to finish drives and close the game with a 20-point fourth quarter reflects discipline and poise under pressure. Legacy continues to build postseason momentum at the right time. The Rebels now stand 6-5 overall.
