What happened: Legacy earned a district crosstown rivalry win over Midland on Friday, Feb. 6, defeating the Lady Bulldogs 48–31. The victory moved the Lady Rebels to 22–10 overall and 6–3 in district play, while Midland fell to 15–16 overall and 1–8 in district. Cayzli Wilson led Legacy with 11 points, while Cady Lange paced Midland with 12.

The big picture: Legacy held a slim edge early, leading 13–10 after the first quarter. The Lady Rebels widened the gap before halftime, outscoring Midland 7–3 in the second quarter to take a 20–13 lead at the break. Legacy continued to separate in the third quarter, pushing the margin to 35–22. The Lady Rebels closed the game by holding Midland to nine points in the fourth quarter to secure the 17-point district win.
