What happened: Legacy High School varsity volleyball opened its season with a commanding 3-0 sweep of Lubbock Monterey. The Lady Rebels controlled the match from start to finish, winning 25-16, 25-11, and 25-15.

Rylea Tercero led the Rebels with 13 kills and two blocks. The libero Mylie Herrera led the defense with 17 digs, and the offense was paced by setter Olivia Ramirez with 16 assists.

Legacy begins the season 1-0 and looks forward to the Mansfield Tournament on Aug. 14-16.
