The big picture: Scoring was limited early. Trinity Christian took a 6–0 lead in the first quarter, holding Midland Classical scoreless. The Knights responded in the second quarter, earning 12 points to TCA’s six, and were tied 12–12 at halftime.

Trinity Christian edged ahead in the third quarter, outscoring Midland Classical 9–5 to take a 21–17 lead into the fourth. The Knights continued to battle in the final period, scoring 14 points, but Trinity Christian matched the output and closed out the 36–31 district win.
