What happened: Midland Classical Academy opened its 2025–26 girls basketball season with a dominating 55‑4 home victory over the Midessa Warriors. The Lady Chargers took control early, outscoring Midessa 26‑2 in the first quarter and leading 40‑2 at halftime.

Senior guard Mariah Davis led the team with 13 points, all scored in the first half. Freshman McKinlee Miller added 10 points, and senior Maddie Vales contributed eight. Calleigh Murphy, Landry Williams, Caroline Nolen, Brianna Chavez, and Kimber Beggs each scored four points, while Rachel Gaona and Addison Weeks added two apiece.

What’s next: MCA returns to action Friday, Nov. 7, at home against Midland’s Texas Leadership Charter Academy at 6 p.m., looking to build on their impressive season-opening performance.
