What happened: Midland Christian suffered its first district loss of the season in a 67–23 road setback to Grace Prep on Friday, Jan. 16, in Arlington. Both teams entered the matchup undefeated in TAPPS 5A District 1 play, but Grace Prep improved to 19–1 overall and 6–0 in district, while the Mustangs fell to 22–8 overall and 5–1 in district.

What’s next: Midland Christian returns to district action with a road game at Grapevine Faith (17–10 overall, 3–2 district) on Saturday, Jan. 17.
