Mustangs playoff run ends with hard-fought effort vs. Regents
What happened: Midland Christian closed its regular season with a 48–15 road loss to the No. 54 team in the state, Austin Regents, on Friday, Nov. 21. The Mustangs trailed 14–0 after the first quarter and 27–7 at halftime before Regents extended the advantage in the third.
Midland Christian continued to battle throughout the night and found momentum late, adding points in the final quarter to finish strong. The Mustangs stayed disciplined and competed through every possession.
What’s next: The Mustangs finished the season 8-4. With a young roster, Midland Christian will take the lessons from this season into the offseason. The experience gained this year will help the team grow, both in football and across other sports, as they continue to develop.
