What happened: Midland Christian earned a 53–24 home district win over Coram Deo on Friday, Jan. 30. The victory moved the Lady Mustangs to 25–6 overall and 9–0 in district play. Coram Deo fell to 15–9 overall and 4–6 in district. Jordyn Hamilton led Midland Christian with 19 points, and Jordan Stokes followed with 13 points. Selah Johnson scored 14 to lead Coram Deo.

The big picture: The Lady Mustangs built a 13–8 lead after the first quarter using steady paint touches from Hamilton, Addi Tatsch, Selah Fox, and Lauren Alvizo. Midland Christian surged in the second quarter, with Stokes opening the period with two 3-pointers, followed by Hamilton and Tatsch finishing inside. Free throws late in the quarter pushed the lead to 25–10 at halftime.

After halftime, the Lady Mustangs stayed aggressive. Stokes attacked off the dribble to open the third quarter, followed by Tatsch and Hamilton scoring on interior touches. Alvizo followed with a corner 3-pointer to close the period ahead 38–12. With the game in hand, Midland Christian rotated the bench. The offense stayed productive with Hamilton scoring 9 of her 19 points in the final quarter.
