What happened: Midland Christian edged Lubbock Trinity 3–2 on the road Tuesday, Sept. 30, in district play. The Lady Mustangs grabbed momentum early by winning the first two sets 25–21 and 25–17. Trinity claimed the next two 25–21 and 25–23 to even the match. In the deciding fifth set, the Lady Mustangs secured the match with a 15–12 fifth-set victory. Midland Christian is now 12-18 overall.

What’s next: The Lady Mustangs continue district play Friday, Oct. 3, in another key matchup against Arlington’s Grace Prep.
