The Midland High boys basketball program continued to build its foundation under second-year Head Coach Brad Reese. The Bulldogs capped off the 2024-2025 season with a 10-25 overall record, with three underclassmen earning All-District honors. 

MHS found its most successful stretch during late November and into early December. Coach Reese and his squad put together their longest win streak of the season at four with victories over Monahans, Fort Stockton, Snyder, and South Hills. The Bulldogs later competed in Midland’s Tall City Oilman’s Classic, where they earned a 58-56 win over El Paso Bowie.

Midland High notched its first District 2-6A win over Odessa High, 46-41, in the first cycle of league play. The Bulldogs finished the slate with a 1-9 district record. This matches the mark from a season ago, but this time, MHS beat an eventual playoff team in OHS.

Three Bulldogs were also recognized as All-District selections. Cooper Johnston was named to the 2nd Team. Meanwhile, MJ Washington and Mark Gomez were tabbed to the Honorable Mention list.
