What happened: Midland Christian dropped a competitive 3-1 road match to Fort Worth’s Southwest Christian on Saturday, Oct. 11. Set scores were 24-26, 25-23, 22-25, and 16-25 in favor of the Eagles. The loss moved the Mustangs to 15-20 on the season. Despite the result, Midland Christian showed strong resilience and teamwork across four tightly contested sets.

Go deeper: Midland Christian displayed solid defensive play and communication early, nearly taking the first set before storming back to win the second. While Southwest Christian adjusted in the final two frames, the Mustangs continued to challenge at the net and maintain poise on the road. The Lady Mustangs previously lost to Southwest Christian 1-3 on Sept. 20 at home.

What’s next: Midland Christian will battle Coram Deo at home on Friday, Oct. 17. The Lady Mustangs previously beat Coram Deo on Sept. 26, 3-0.
