Midland College trustee rules out another bond proposal
What happened: Midland College Trustee Adrian Carrasco said he does not support pursuing another bond proposal after voters defeated the college’s $450 million bond in May.
Go deeper: In an interview on KWEL radio, Carrasco said the results clarified voters’ position and that the board has no current plans to bring another bond forward.
“The voters spoke, the voters voted,” Carrasco said. “That tells me they don’t want to see a bond at [Midland College], and so I’m good with it.”
Trustee Carrasco also addressed a survey circulating in the community, clarifying that it is not from Midland College and is not part of any formal planning process.
