Midland drivers will need extra patience this week as utility, pipeline, and road projects bring street closures across the city. Drivers are encouraged to expect delays and use alternate routes where possible.

  • Andrews Highway west: A lane of Midland Drive and Andrews Highway, closed until about Oct. 10 for pipeline work.
  • North A Street: A lane between Crest Drive and Douglas Avenue, closed through Oct. 1 for an emergency gas leak repair.
  • Fairgrounds Road: between Loop 250 and Wadley Avenue, and a lane of the Loop 250 service road, closed to allow for road construction through October 24.
  • Bluebird Lane: A lane between Midkiff Road and Whitman Drive, closed through Oct. 6 for utility work.
  • Golf Course Road: Between H Street and G Street, closed through Oct. 6 for utility work.
  • Andrews Highway: One lane of Andrews Highway between Bates Street and Idlewild Drive, closed through Oct. 5 for utility wire work.
  • Downtown closures: G, F, and E Streets between Wall Street and Missouri Avenue, and the alley from H to D Streets, closed through Oct. 9 for sewer line access.
  • Sinclair Avenue: Between Woodcrest Drive and Idlewild Drive, closed through Oct. 5 for utility wire work.
  • Dormand Drive: Between Lamesa Road and Carver Street, closed through Oct. 11 for road work.
