What happened: Midland concluded its season Tuesday, Nov. 4, with a 0-3 playoff loss to Byron Nelson, the number one team in the nation. Set scores were 25‑16, 25‑15, 25‑17. Despite the loss, Midland closes the year with major accomplishments. The Lady Bulldogs finished the regular season as district champions, then won a bi-district title with a sweep over El Paso Franklin to advance to the area round.

The big picture: The Lady Bulldogs built momentum throughout the season with consistent play, teamwork, and resilience. They finished with a strong record, contended in the playoffs, and demonstrated growth on both offense and defense. Though their playoff run ended, the Lady Bulldogs proved themselves as a formidable squad. The team’s chemistry, leadership, and commitment set a strong foundation for next season.
