The win marked Midland’s second straight victory over Permian this season, following a 3–0 sweep in their first meeting on Sept. 26. The Lady Bulldogs improved to 6–1 in district play and 31–8 overall, remaining atop the District 2-6A standings.

What’s next: Midland will look to extend its winning streak Friday, Oct. 17, when it hosts Odessa High for its second district matchup. The Lady Bulldogs topped the Lady Broncos 3–0 in their first district meeting on Sept. 30.
