What to watch: Early voting begins Monday, May 18, for the Primary Runoff Election and runs through Friday, May 22. Run-offs typically see lower voter turnout, so The Permian Press recommends everyone to make a plan to go vote and encourage others to do the same. Local races on the Republican ballot include the County Judge runoff between Karen Hood and Jay Marquez, and the County Commissioner, Precinct 4, race between Dianne Anderson and Lance Friday.
