What happened: The Midland College Board of Trustees will meet on Jan. 20 to review financial statements through December 2025, receive a division presentation from Respiratory Care, consider contract approvals, and review personnel and donation updates from the college president.

Key points:

  • Operating expenses: Trustees will review the monthly fiscal year 2025-26 revenue and expense statements through Dec. 31, 2025. Year-to-date data show the college has collected about 41% of projected annual revenue and spent about 35% of its annual budget.

Revenue collections are slightly ahead of pace, largely driven by property tax and tuition timing. Physical plant spending appears higher early in the year, largely tied to dorm renovation and facility project timing.

Financial reporting also shows the dorm renovation project is about 55% complete from a spending standpoint, with roughly $5.7 million spent across the current and prior fiscal years.
