What to watch: Rhea Lana’s of Midland-Odessa returns this week with its fall children’s consignment sale at the Midland County Horseshoe Pavilion, 2514 Arena Trail. Presale shopping begins Thursday, Sept. 10, and public days run Sunday through Wednesday, Sept. 13–16. This is Midland’s biggest Rhea Lana sale yet, with more than 160,000 items on the floor, giving parents access to pregnancy and children’s items without breaking the bank.
The big picture: More than 1,000 local families consign gently used, inspected items, creating one of the area’s largest children’s resale events. Shoppers can find cribs, strollers, baby gear, clothing and shoes from newborn through teen sizes, toys, books, furniture, and school-year essentials. Most items are priced well below retail, and about 90% of the floor drops to half price on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Sunday’s public opening also includes a Family Fun Fest from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with food trucks, a petting zoo, face painting, jumpers, and other kid-friendly extras while shopping continues until 8 p.m.
Expectant moms, teachers, military, and healthcare workers can also check the Rhea Lana Midland-Odessa site for free early-access passes on Saturday.
Go deeper: Public shopping is free and does not require a ticket. Here are the hours for the event:
- Sunday, Sept. 13, 11 a.m.–8 p.m.
- Monday, Sept. 14, 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
Hours for the half-price sale:
