What happened: Midland families will have a chance to learn directly from professional players and coaches this summer as the Midland RockHounds host their Baseball Clinic for athletes ages 9-12. The three-day clinic is scheduled for June 9-11 from 9 a.m. to noon and will focus on baseball fundamentals, skill development, agility training, and injury prevention.

The big picture: RockHounds coaches and players will lead instruction throughout the clinic, with campers rotating through hitting, fielding, throwing, and base-running drills. Players will also receive position-specific instruction for infielders, outfielders, pitchers, and catchers. The clinic costs $200, is open to both boys and girls, and spots are still available.
