“What makes this group of seniors so special is their unique personalities and the role they play on our team,” Assistant Coach Ashley Brinker said. “They may not be the leading scorer, but they will always do what is asked of them on and off the court.” Because of their leadership, the team continues to live out its unselfish motto, “us over me.”

The big picture: Midland Christian brings back All-State standouts Selah Fox, Jordyn Hamilton, and Jordan Stokes. Fox directs the floor with precision. Hamilton adds balance and grit. Stokes shines in clutch moments. Alongside Bailey Griffith, who brings toughness in the paint, this core returns ready to defend the standard they helped build.

The returning players also help the newcomers adjust quickly. They spend extra time mentoring younger teammates and set the tone by keeping expectations high.

“I would describe them as a tight-knit family, composed and silly at times,” Coach Brinker said. “What makes them so special is that we have some returners, but we also have new faces that have been made to fit right in.” Because of that chemistry, the Lady Mustangs not only work hard but also enjoy every moment together.

Zoom out: Head Coach Katie Voss-Osborn, last season’s MRT Coach of the Year, leads with a family-first approach. She is joined by Assistant Coach Ashley Brinker, Assistant Varsity/JV Coach Emma Thompson, and Assistant Varsity/JV Coach Aida Bakhos.

The entire coaching staff returns this year, keeping the same chemistry that fueled last season’s success. “The whole crew is back,” Brinker said. “Each coach is excited to contribute wherever they can to make the team better every day.” Together, this award-winning group emphasizes character, connection, and Christ-centered leadership.
