What to watch: Celebrate art, culture, and food at the Museum of the Southwest’s annual SeptemberFest on Sept. 6–7. The festival includes over 30 artists, food vendors, and an interactive KinderFest for children.

Why it matters: SeptemberFest is the Museum of the Southwest’s largest annual fundraiser. Proceeds support year-round exhibitions and family programs, helping the Museum continue its mission of inspiring creativity and learning in Midland.

The big picture: Guests can browse artists’ booths featuring jewelry, blown glass, oil paintings, ceramics, and more, while enjoying live demonstrations and hands-on activities. KinderFest features science experiments, art activities, planetarium dome shows, and a STEM Magic Show. General admission gives access to all the museum grounds.

Go deeper: Festival hours are Saturday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., and Sunday, 12–5 p.m. Attendees can explore art, enjoy live demonstrations, sample food, and participate in family-friendly activities while supporting a key cultural institution in Midland.
