What to watch: Every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Midland Pizza Factory treats pizza lovers to its Slice Saturdays promotion: one‐slice specials at $2 for cheese, $4 for pepperoni, and $6 for specials. Drop in for a delicious addition to your weekend.

The big picture: The locally owned pizzeria bakes its dough in a stone “Dragon” oven that creates a crisp, distinctive crust. On the menu, guests will find customizable hand-tossed and Detroit-style pizzas, boneless wings, salads, calzones, and other sides. The current owner, DruMarcus Austin, started his first job at the pizzeria as a teenager and later bought it, maintaining its focus on fresh ingredients and community ties.

Go deeper: Slice Saturdays offer an affordable way to enjoy a weekend lunch. Slices are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Can’t make it on Saturday? Not to worry. The shop also offers $10 one-topping pizzas on weekdays from 4 to 5 p.m.
