What to watch: The 78th annual St. Ann’s Family Fair takes over the parish and school grounds this Saturday, Sept. 26. The Midland tradition runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at 1906 W. Texas Ave., with free admission, more than 65 food and game booths, live music, bingo, kids’ activities, and a raffle.

The big picture: Admission to the fair is free, but bring money for food, games, and other activities. Families can expect face painting, a children’s inflatable fun park, bingo, and live music throughout the day. Proceeds from the volunteer-run fair benefit St. Ann’s Catholic Parish and School.

The morning starts early for those participating in the Run to the Fair. Registration begins at 7 a.m., followed by the 10K, 5K, and 1-mile fun run/walk at 8:30 a.m. Families, pets, and spectators are welcome.

Midlanders can enter the fair’s annual raffle, and this year’s grand prize is a 2026 Ford Expedition. Other prizes include a Nintendo Switch 2, a diamond necklace, Southwest Airlines gift cards, a pizza oven, a karaoke machine, and a RockHounds package. Tickets are $20 each or six for $100, and you can purchase them online or through the parish office.
