The Midland Trinity football team made its deepest playoff run since 2015 as a State Semifinalist in 2024. The Chargers also claimed their first District Championship in three seasons.

The six-man team opened the year with a 22-12 win over Holy Cross. Trinity added four more wins against Grady, Garden City, Midland TLCA, and Round Rock Christian Academy in non-district play and outscored those opponents 252-87. The Chargers went into TAPPS Division I District I (6-man) action with a 5-1 record.

Head Coach Gregory Koch and his squad kicked off league play with their highest outscoring output of the season. Midland Trinity edged out Vanguard College Prep in the 100-92 shootout. This was the first time in school history that the Chargers reached the century mark. The Tall City team notched wins over Coram Deo Academy and Prince of Peace to earn the District title for the first time since 2021 with an undefeated record.

Midland Trinity faced the Texas School for the Deaf in the Area round and advanced to the State Semifinals with the 74-28 victory. Trinity ended its season against district foe Coram Deo Academy and lost in round two, 69-22. The Chargers closed the year with a 9-3 overall record.

Midland Trinity starts the 2025 season on the road against Hull-Daisetta on August 29th. Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.
