The victory moves the Knights to 12–19 overall and 4–4=5 in district play, while Temple Christian drops to 1–21 overall and 0–5 in district. Blake Crunk led Midland Classical with 17 points, while Dawson Dunn added 13 and Ethan Harris finished with 10.

The big picture: Midland Classical trailed early after scoring 6 points in the first quarter to Temple Christian’s 14. Temple maintained its edge at halftime, leading 27–20. The Knights responded in the third quarter, outscoring Temple 21–10 to take a 41–37 advantage entering the fourth. Midland Classical stayed in front down the stretch, scoring 17 points in the final quarter to secure the 58–52 district win.
