What happened: Midland College celebrated 54 student-athletes who were named to the Spring 2025 WJCAC All-Academic Team for their outstanding academic performance.

Go deeper: First Team honorees earned a semester GPA of 3.60 or higher, while Second Team honorees maintained a GPA between 3.30 and 3.59. Athletes from baseball, softball, men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, and men’s golf were recognized.

  • Men’s Golf: 2 First Team, 5 Second Team

  • Softball: 7 First Team, 7 Second Team

  • Baseball: 9 First Team, 9 Second Team

  • Volleyball: 5 First Team, 3 Second Team

  • Women’s Basketball: 2 First Team, 2 Second Team

  • Men’s Basketball: 2 First Team, 1 Second Team

“Our student-athletes continue to demonstrate that academic and athletic success go hand in hand,” said Athletic Director Forrest Allen, calling the recognition a reflection of “work ethic, time management, and personal accountability.” President Dr. Damon Kennedy added, “They not only succeed on the field, but they also take their academic responsibilities seriously.”
