Detour Ahead: November road closures to watch in Midland

What to watch: Midland is in the middle of several long-range infrastructure projects, bringing several new closures and lane reductions over the coming weeks. Road crews continue utility upgrades and construction work across Midland, from water and sewer improvements to road reconstruction and new public lighting.
- Main Street: between Texas Avenue and Wall Street, closed Nov. 15–Dec. 6, for installation of overhead permanent lighting downtown.
- E. Mockingbird Lane: a lane between Big Spring Street and Magellan Street, closed Nov. 11–Dec. 12, to complete underground utility work.
- Marienfeld Street: between Holmsley Street and Kansas Avenue, closed Oct. 27–Nov. 28, for utility work.
- Louisiana Avenue: between Marienfeld Street and N. Pecos Street, closed Nov. 9–30, for utility upgrades.
- Raleigh Court: from Midland Drive, closed Nov. 14–28, for utility work.
- S. County Road 1110: between FM 307 and E. County Road 120, closed Nov. 17–Jan. 30, to complete full reconstruction.
