The big picture: Greenwood set the tone early, jumping out to a 15–4 lead after the first quarter. The Rangerettes extended the margin in the second quarter, outscoring Monahans 18–7 to take a 33–11 lead into halftime.

The Rangerettes continued to pull away after the break, pushing the lead to 46–13 by the end of the third quarter. Greenwood closed the game by holding Monahans to 14 points in the second half to secure the 58–27 district win.
