Motorcyclist critically injured in I-20 service road crash
What happened: A 56-year-old man from Fort Morgan, Colorado, suffered life-threatening head injuries in a motorcycle crash on the north service road of the 1200 block of East Interstate 20 early Sunday morning.
The big picture: Midland Police said the crash occurred at 2:14 a.m. Aug. 10 when a westbound 2017 Harley Davidson struck a concrete curb while entering an entrance ramp. The driver, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained severe head injuries. He was taken to a local emergency room in critical condition. Alcohol is believed to be a factor, according to MPD, and the case remains under investigation.
