Voice of Winnie the Pooh coming to Midland fundraiser

What happened: Fans of Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, and some of animation’s most recognizable voices will have a chance to experience them live as legendary voice actor Jim Cummings visits Midland for a special charity event benefiting Midland Soup Kitchen Ministry on Friday, June 5, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Green Tree Country Club in Midland.
The evening will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Winnie the Pooh while also raising money to support Midland Soup Kitchen Ministry and its efforts to help provide meals and support for local children and families.
The big picture: Cummings is considered one of the most influential voice actors in animation history, with more than 1,500 credited character voices throughout his career. Best known as the voice of Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, Cummings has also voiced hundreds of characters across Disney productions, television shows, films, and video games.
General admission tickets are currently listed at $45.89 and include access to live story time sessions, panel discussions, audience Q&A opportunities, and live performances from Cummings throughout the evening. Before the program begins, attendees can browse the Golden Bouquet Honey booth, which will feature local raw honey and natural products.
VIP admission packages are $102.49 and include a private meet-and-greet experience with photo and autograph opportunities following the event. Guests also have the option to purchase a special 100th Anniversary edition of “Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” as an add-on item during ticket checkout.
