What happened: Legacy went 2-1 at the Tall City Oilman’s Tournament in Midland from Thursday, Dec. 11, through Saturday, Dec. 13, moving their overall record to 4-8. They earned wins over Presidio (5-5 overall) and El Paso Bowie (3-9 overall), while dropping a close game to El Paso Americas (10-5 overall).

The Rebels named the Players of the Game as J’Varion Starling for game no. 1 against Presidio, Jett Swing for game no. 2 against Bowie, and Tristine Turner for game no. 3 against Americas.

The big picture:

  • Game 1: Midland Legacy 75, Presidio 53
    Legacy controlled the boards and built an early lead of 38-15 at halftime. J’Varion Starling scored 17 points, Tristine Turner added 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Conley Lewis contributed 12 points.
  • Game 2: Midland Legacy 75, Bowie 39
    The Rebels maintained control throughout the game, up 36-14 at halftime. Tristine Turner scored 20 points to lead Legacy, while Braden Watt and Jett Swing added 13 points apiece. Jett Swing knocked down three 3-pointers, and J’Varion Starling finished with 10 points. The Rebels totaled 21 assists in the win.
  • Game 3: Americas 48, Midland Legacy 45
    In a close contest, Tristine Turner recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while J’Varion Starling added 11 points.
