What happened: Legacy suffered a one-point home loss to Abilene Wylie, falling 37–36 in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday, Jan. 6. The loss came after the Lady Rebels led for most of the night but were edged out late. The loss dropped Legacy to 16–7 overall, while Wylie jumped to 19–5.

The big picture: Legacy jumped out early, taking a 10–8 lead after the first quarter. The Lady Rebels maintained control in the second and carried a 16–12 advantage into halftime. Legacy continued to lead after three quarters, holding a 31–25 edge heading into the fourth. Wylie rallied in the final period, outscoring Legacy 12–5 to pull ahead by one and secure the win.

What’s next: Legacy opens district play on the road against Odessa (15–8 overall) on Friday, Jan. 9, with tipoff scheduled for 6 p.m.
