What to watch: TxDOT crews begin bridge repair work on Loop 250 this week. Work began Monday, March 16, and runs through Tuesday, March 31. The first phase focuses on work underneath the bridges for vertical and overhead concrete repairs. Four locations are on the agenda, with each site taking about three days.

The second phase runs April 13–24. Crews will move to work on the tops of the bridges at the same locations. To keep traffic moving as much as possible, TxDOT will limit daytime closures to one lane and keep them open whenever possible. Full lane closures will happen at night, with roads reopened by 5 a.m. TxDOT or the City of Midland will announce any needed full-daytime closures in advance so drivers can plan their routes.
