Knights tested in district opener against Lubbock Christian

What happened: Midland Classical fell to Lubbock Christian, 72–40, in a district matchup on Tuesday, Jan. 13. The loss drops MCA to 10–15 overall and 2–1 in district, while Lubbock Christian opened district play with the win to move to 10–7 overall and 1–0 in district.
The big picture: Lubbock Christian led from start to finish. The Eagles took a 19–12 lead after the first quarter and extended the advantage to 39–19 by halftime. Lubbock Christian continued to build the lead in the third quarter, pushing the margin to 58–26. Midland Classical was unable to close the gap in the fourth quarter, and Lubbock Christian closed out the game with a 72–40 final.
