What happened: Midland Classical split two overtime games at the Wink Tournament over the weekend. The Knights defeated Iraan (4-4 overall) 57–51 on Friday, Dec. 12, before falling 66–62 to Kingdom Prep (2–3 overall) on Saturday, Dec. 13. The results moved Midland Classical to 6–10 on the season.

Coy Nicholas and Judah Schulz scored in double figures in both games.

  • Game 1: Midland Classical 57, Iraan 51 (OT)
    Midland Classical led 25–19 at halftime before Iraan tied the game with eight seconds left on a driving layup to force overtime. The Knights outscored Iraan 10–4 in the extra period. Coy Nicholas led Midland Classical with 17 points, followed by Ethan Harris with 16 and Judah Schulz with 12. Fabian Monclova led with 19 points for Iraan.
  • Game 2: Kingdom Prep 66, Midland Classical 62 (OT)
    Midland Classical carried a 49–39 lead into the fourth quarter after Dawson Dunn scored 13 of his 15 points in the third quarter. Kingdom Prep tied the game 56–56 with nine seconds left. Judah Schulz missed a potential game-winning shot for the Knights, sending the contest to overtime. Coy Nicholas led Midland Classical with 18 points, followed by Dawson Dunn with 15 and Judah Schulz with 13. David Pendergrass led Kingdom Prep with 25 points, followed by Hogan Riddle with 14.
