Knights go 2-3 at Wink Wildcat Christmas Classic Tournament
What happened: Midland Classical went 2–3 at the Wink Wildcat Christmas Classic, earning wins over Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy (4–11 overall) and Midland JV. The Knights opened tournament play Thursday, Dec. 18, with losses to Sweetwater (5–8 overall) and Buena Vista (9–2 overall), then fell to Legacy JV on Saturday, Dec. 20.
Judah Schulz led Midland Classical across the five-game stretch with four double-figure scoring performances, Maxwell Jackson added multiple double-doubles and defensive production, and Ethan Harris provided consistent perimeter scoring, including a 20-point, four-3-pointer performance. The Knights moved their overall record to 8–13.

- Game 1: Sweetwater 64, Midland Classical 39
Midland Classical trailed 31-14 at halftime. The Knights picked up the pace, scoring 25 points in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to overcome their first-half deficit. Judah Schulz and Maxwell Jackson each scored 12 points for Midland Classical. Darwin Blueford led Sweetwater with 23 points, including three 3-pointers, followed by Mason Blueford with 10.
- Game 2: Buena Vista 62, Midland Classical 56
Buena Vista led 36-22 at halftime. Midland Classical outscored the Longhorns 34-26 in the second half, trimming the deficit but not fully closing the gap. Ethan Harris scored 20 points with four 3-pointers for the Knights, followed by Judah Schulz with 13 points. Ezra Gamboa led Buena Vista with 14 points with three 3-pointers, while Cris Sanchez and Sebastian Porras added 12 points each, and Gio Colunga and Alexander Porras added 10.

Midland Classical led 33-16 at the half and extended the margin by outscoring MTCLA 44-19 in the second half. Judah Schulz scored 23 points to lead the Knights followed by J. Travis with 15 and Ethan Harris with 10. Maxwell Jackson added eight rebounds, five assists, and four steals with Dawson Dunn adding in eight rebounds. Artberny led MTLCA with 16 points.
- Game 4: Legacy JV 69, Midland Classical 53
Legacy JV led 30-27 at halftime. The Rebels widened the margin in the third quarter and outscored Midland Classical 39-26 in the second half. Ethan Harris led the Knights with 12 points, followed by Maxwell Jackson with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and four steals. Dawson Dunn recorded five steals.
- Game 5: Midland Classical 74, Midland JV 48
Midland Classical led 37-31 at halftime and expanded the lead by outscoring Midland JV 37-17 in the second half. Judah Schulz scored 21 points to lead the Knights. Maxwell Jackson finished with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and five steals, while Bogdan Corzine added 10 points and nine rebounds.
