What happened: Midland Classical dropped a close 45–41 game to Klondike on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at home. The Lady Knights stayed competitive from the opening tip, trailing 7–5 after the first and 17–13 at halftime. MCA pulled within 26–25 after the third and kept the margin tight until the final horn, but Klondike held on late. The loss moved MCA to 7-3 for the season.

Mariah Davis led all scorers with 24 points, including four 3-pointers. Maddie Valles added 9 points, and the Lady Knights went 8 for 10 at the free-throw line. Their consistency at the line and timely scoring kept the game within one or two possessions throughout.

Go deeper: Midland Classical moved the ball well, created strong perimeter looks, and matched Klondike’s intensity on the defensive end. MCA showed poise in each quarter, weathering runs and responding with key baskets. The competitive pace and disciplined execution reflected continued growth early in the season.

What’s next: Midland Classical will travel to Denver City next week for the Denver City Tamala Shootout as they look to rebound and build momentum heading into December competition.
