What happened: The Museum of the Southwest is bringing back one of Midland’s favorite summer traditions this weekend as the 39th annual Summer Sunday Lawn Concert series returns with a performance from the Midlandaires Band.
The free community concert is scheduled for Sunday, June 7, on the museum lawn at 1705 W. Missouri Ave. Gates open at 6 p.m., with live music beginning at 7 p.m.
The big picture: Known for performing a mix of classic hits, country, rock, and blues, the Midlandaires Band will kick off this year’s concert series as families and community members gather for an evening of outdoor live music.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, picnic baskets, and refreshments. The event is family-friendly, with children’s activities planned throughout the evening, and guests are welcome to bring their own beverages.
What’s next: Food and drink trucks will be available on-site, along with popcorn and cold water for purchase. Guests can also participate in a free raffle during the event. The concert is free and open to the public. This year’s Summer Sunday Lawn Concert series is sponsored by Community National Bank.
