What happened: Riley Green is set to bring one of the biggest country concerts of the summer to Midland when he performs Friday, June 12, at the Midland County Horseshoe Far West Lot. Presented by Out West Midland, the concert is already generating major attention across the Permian Basin, with tickets selling quickly ahead of the show.
The outdoor event will also feature special guest Laci Kaye Booth, along with food vendors, shopping experiences, and a Vendor Village hosted by The Scout Guide West Texas. Doors open at 4 p.m.
The big picture: Organizers say the concert will be an all-ages event with a clear bag policy and no re-entry once admitted. Lawn chairs will only be allowed in designated general admission areas. VIP packages, reserved tables, and general admission tickets remain available, though Out West expects availability to tighten as the concert approaches. A $10 surcharge will apply to guests under 21 years old at the door.
Organizers are also hosting promotional events ahead of the concert, including a Riley Green lookalike contest at Philly’s Golf Club and ticket giveaways during Midland RockHounds Thirsty Thursday festivities.
Go deeper: Green has become one of the fastest-rising names in country music over the last several years, building a national following with songs centered around small-town life, family, tradition, and Southern roots. The Alabama native first broke through with hits like “There Was This Girl” before expanding his national popularity with songs including “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” “Different ’Round Here,” and “Half of Me.”
Green is also both a CMA Award and ACM Award winner, helping establish himself as one of country music’s most successful touring artists through national tours, festival appearances, and collaborations with some of the genre’s biggest names.
Booth has emerged as one of Texas country music’s rising artists after finishing in the Top 5 during Season 17 of American Idol in 2019. The Livingston native later moved to Nashville and released her self-titled debut project while continuing to build a growing following in country music.
