What to watch: The 63rd Annual Midland Women’s City Golf Tournament returns Monday, July 20, through Thursday, July 23, bringing amateur golfers from across Midland County together for four days of qualifying rounds, match play, and championship competition. Registration for the tournament closes Friday, July 17.

The big picture: The tournament opens Monday at Hogan Park Golf Course, then moves to Green Tree Country Club on Tuesday, Odessa Country Club on Wednesday, and concludes Thursday at Midland Country Club.

Players with a USGA GHIN Handicap Index of 17.0 or lower, as of July 17, will compete in an 18-hole qualifying round before advancing to match play. Golfers with higher handicap indexes may also qualify under tournament guidelines.
