The Greenwood boys basketball team stacked its 10th postseason appearance in a row to close the 2024-2025 season. The Rangers finished the year with a third-place finish in the District 3-4A with a 6-4 record.

First-year Head Coach Jeff Bush and company collected their first win of the season on the road against Lamesa, 76-45. The local squad continued to topple area foes with a couple more victories over Big Spring and Alpine. Greenwood also took care of business against Sweetwater twice during the first half of the season. The Rangers won both matchups by an average of 22 points.

Greenwood opened District 3-4A competition with wins over Monahans and Pecos. The Rangers later swept these two teams and collected two victories over Andrews for a total of six league wins. Several players also added All-District and standout accolades to their season resume. Landen Stewart and Austin Snodgrass were named to the 1st Team. Noah Rivas was tabbed to the 2nd Team. Peyton Rauman and Colton Rauman were added to the Honorable Mention list. Jonathan Mendoza earned the title of “Co-Newcomer of the Year.”

The Rangers advanced to the playoffs with their top-four finish in district play. Greenwood’s season came to a close in the first round of the postseason against Randall. Coach Bush’s squad capped off the season with a 15-18 record.
