What happened: Legacy fell 21-49 at home Thursday, Sept. 25, against a tough Louisiana Ruston team. Despite the loss, the Rebels showed flashes of offensive rhythm and resilience against one of Louisiana’s top-ranked programs. The defeat moved Legacy to 1–4 overall.

Ruston’s balanced attack and physical defense proved difficult to slow down in this non-conference matchup. Midland Legacy sustained several strong drives led by quarterback JP Reyes and a steady running effort from Hayes Hamm. The Rebels have faced one of the most challenging early schedules, giving them valuable experience before district play begins.

What’s next: Legacy will go on the road to face San Angelo Central for their first district game on Oct. 10.
