What happened: Midland Classical earned a decisive 71–28 home victory over TCLA Midland on Friday, Nov. 7. The Knights dominated from start to finish, maintaining control on both ends of the floor.

By the numbers: The Knights shot 50% from the field and 33% from three-point range, with 10 different players contributing to the scoring effort. Junior Ethan Harris led the way with 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting, followed by senior Judah Schulz with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Junior Drew Perea added 8 points, while juniors Blake Crunk and Deacon Jones each chipped in 6. Freshman James Clark was efficient inside with 4 points and strong rebounding, and senior Bogdon Corzine added 7 points, including 2 free throws.

Junior Coy Nicholas and senior John Friedman each provided 5 and 3 points, respectively, while sophomore Dawson Dunn and freshman Maxwell Jackson contributed key baskets to round out the balanced team effort. Freshman Cohen Meadows scored 4 points in limited minutes, and freshman Holden Stallings saw court time as part of Midland Classical’s deep rotation.

Between the lines: Midland Classical shared the ball exceptionally well, totaling 21 assists and showing sharp decision-making on offense. The Knights converted 18 of 21 layups (85.7%), displaying their ability to finish strong at the rim.

What’s next: The Knights continue non-district play with a crosstown matchup against Midland Christian on Friday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. After back-to-back strong performances, Midland Classical will look to sustain its offensive rhythm and defensive intensity.
